Col Nakalema: Mirundi wanted to harm my children. Museveni took them to an international school (VIDEO)

Col Edith Nakalema, the head of the State House Investors Protection Unit, has claimed that former senior presidential advisor Tamale Mirundi wanted to harm her children in 2015.

Speaking at a gathering of Pentecostals recently, Nakalema claimed that in 2015, Mirundi went on one of the radio stations and said he knew the school Nakalema’s children went to and therefore she should be careful.

“They are in Kabojja Junior School. We shall get to them and slaughter them, kill them,” Nakalema claimed this is what Mirundi had said on radio. [PLAY VIDEO BELOW]

She said that at that time, she was in Mubende with the president, canvassing for votes.

“The president was disturbed, and he called me. He asked me: ‘Which school do your children go to?’ I told him Kabojja. He said, ‘Let me make a call and see whether we can take them to an international school where there is enough security.’ They were taken to GEMS Cambridge, and since then, the firstborn is now in his second year at a university in the US. The lord has done it all,” she said amid cheers from the gathering.

For more than five years, Nakalema and Mirundi worked together at State House. After Mirundi was fired, he claimed that Nakalema and others were behind his ouster.

Until his death last year, Mirundi said he “would never reconcile with Nakalema.”
