President Museveni is expected to officially open the newly constructed All Saints Church of Uganda in Sembabule district today.
The magnificient church, which cost billions of shillings, falls under the West Buganda Diocese. Enock Muhanga, the archdeacon said the function will be officiated by Archbishop Stephen Kaziimba Mugalu, the head of the Anglican Church in Uganda.
The Anglican community of Ssembabule applauded former minister and area MP Sam Kutesa for his financial support towards the church project.
“From the initial stages up to when the structure was completed, Kutesa has helped us tremendously,” Muhanga said.
Bills Magomba, the head of laity said the former minister had stood with them during the construction of the project.
Muhanga said all prepartions for the grand function had been done.
