Wakiso: Elders demand better services as DP’s Maria Nassali eyes woman seat

Elders from Kitegomba village in Kasangati Town Council, Wakiso, have voiced frustration over inadequate service delivery.

They cite shortages of drugs in health centers, poorly maintained roads that disrupt trade and mobility, and a lack of essential school facilities like science labs, computer labs, teacher housing, and sufficient classrooms.

Welcoming Maria Nassali, a lawyer and politician, the elders called on her to address the declining state of healthcare, infrastructure, and education.

Nassali, a lecturer of law at Uganda Christian University, Mukono, committed to prioritizing health, education, better roads, and women’s rights and empowerment.

She is set to contest for Wakiso Woman MP under the DP banner, facing Betty Evelyn Naluyima of the National Unity Platform and Rose Mary Sseninde of the National Resistance Movement (NRM).
