EC connects with public at the Jinja Agricultural Show

The Electoral Commission (EC) is actively engaging citizens at the 31st National Agricultural Show, held at the Agricultural Showgrounds in Jinja City, that is scheduled to end on July 5, 2025.

This vibrant event provides an ideal setting for the EC to deliver electoral services in an engaging and approachable manner.

Led by Deo Natukunda, the Regional Election Officer for the Kira Region, the EC team includes technical staff from both the Commission’s headquarters and the Kira electoral region.

“At our stall, we’re guiding visitors through the key milestones of the 2025/2026 General Elections roadmap, with a focus on activities related to Special Interest Groups (SIGs), such as Youth, Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), Workers, Older Persons, and the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF),” said Natukunda.

The EC is also leveraging the event to underscore the importance of civic participation in strengthening democracy.

Attendees are encouraged to ask questions, seek clarifications, and collect voter education materials to better understand their role in the electoral process.
