C-Care has marked 30 years of providing healthcare services, celebrating a journey that has seen it grow from a Ugandan healthcare provider into a regional healthcare group serving East Africa.
The company said the anniversary is an opportunity to reflect on three decades of investment in healthcare infrastructure, medical technology, specialised services and professional talent, while also looking ahead to the future of healthcare on the African continent.
Founded at a time when access to advanced private healthcare in Uganda was still limited, C-Care said it set out to build healthcare institutions capable of delivering reliable, high-quality medical care closer to patients’ homes.
Over the years, the healthcare provider has expanded its services through continued investment in hospitals, diagnostic equipment, specialised treatment, operational systems and skilled healthcare professionals.
A major turning point in the company’s growth came when it became part of the CIEL Group.
According to C-Care, the partnership strengthened its corporate governance, accelerated investment and positioned the organisation as a regional healthcare provider with a long-term vision for Africa.
The company said it has continued to invest in modern healthcare infrastructure, advanced diagnostic services, digital systems, medical technology and clinical excellence to improve patient care across the region.
C-Care noted that the healthcare sector is changing rapidly, with patients increasingly expecting world-class medical services without travelling outside Africa.
In response, the company said it is developing modern healthcare systems that combine advanced clinical services with patient-centred care.
It added that while investment has been important to its growth, its success has also been driven by a strong focus on quality healthcare, positive patient experiences and sound financial management.
The company said these principles have helped it earn the trust of patients, improve clinical and operational standards and build healthcare services that people can rely on.
According to C-Care, maintaining financial discipline has also enabled it to expand responsibly while continuing to serve communities across the region.
As it celebrates its 30th anniversary, the healthcare provider said the milestone is not only a chance to look back on its achievements but also an opportunity to contribute to discussions about the future of healthcare in Africa.
The company said it remains committed to promoting institutional excellence, regional collaboration, innovation and greater access to quality healthcare for communities across the continent.
