Nalukoola is NUP flag bearer for Kawempe North

Lawyer Erias Nalukoola has been selected as the National Unity Platform flag bearer in the forthcoming by-elections for Kawempe North.

Nalukoola emerged winner with 71.4% according to NUP’s chairperson of the party’s election committee, Mercy Walukamba. He defeated his closest challenger Umar Magala by more than 20 percentage points.

Nalukoola thanked the party for entrusting him with the ticket saying he was ready to deal with the challenges. He urged his opponents to rally behind him. He said it was not a privilege but a trial to hold the party’s flag.

“Count on me as much as I count on you. We have the bullet and we can be declared victorious,” he said.

He will face off with NRM’s Faridah Nambi and FDC’s Sadat Mukiibi (aka Aganaga) in the by-elections that will be conducted on March 13.
