President Museveni has lambasted the leadership at Kamapala Capital City Authority (KCCA) for not doing enough to ensure a clean city.
Museveni expressed his displeasure about the poor state of sanitation in the city while officially opening the first phase of the Kampala Flyover Project along Mukwano Road today.Â
Museveni said: “I see flies everywhere, even here” as he cast his eyes towards city leaders who included Sharifah Buzeki, the executive director of KCCA.
“I had high hopes in you,” Museveni added looking directly at Buzeki. He instructed her to come up with a plan of ridding Kampala of rubbish.

Other leaders like the minister for Kampala Minsa Kabanda and her deputy Kyofatogabye Kabuye looked on sheepishly as the president tabled his grievances.
Buzeki tried to assure the president that the situation would be restored but he just waved her away.
Museveni said the people who live and work in the city must be sensitized against littering.
