Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga is a very selective fellow, those who have worked with him say. Whether it is the pair of shoes, the tie, the suit, or the food he eats, Mayiga will take his time before making a decision.
So we take it that the people or institutions he chooses to follow on X have to be carefully chosen. We have been told that the katikkiro has a team of people who handle his social media accounts, such as X. But this team works under his instruction, and Mayiga reviews many of the posts before they are sent out.
Mayiga follows only 172 people on X, and he is followed by 267,495 people/institutions.

While introducing DF President Mathias Mpuuga at Kibuli during prayers to commemorate 32 years of Kabaka Mutebi, Mayiga cracked a few ribs when he said NUP president, Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine, had forgotten to introduce his “brother.”
Which is surprising, given that Mayiga does not follow Kyagulanyi on X. Could the katikkiro have forgotten to follow his in-law, Kyagulanyi on X? See, in Buganda culture, Kyagulanyi is an in-law to the katikkiro since Mayiga’s wife belongs to the Mbogo clan. Kyagulanyi, too, does not follow Mayiga.
However, Mayiga follows Mpuuga, with whom he worked at Mengo in the 2000s.
