Rogers Mugisha has “abruptly” resigned as Program Director at Sanyu FM. Sources said that Mugisha developed some disagreements with members of the management team over the direction of the station.
“He decided to resign,” said a source.
Mugisha rejoined Sanyu FM in 2020, having worked there in the 1990s as a budding DJ.
In a notice from Pamela Adongo, the general manager, the station said Mugisha had left by “mutual consent”.
“We extend our gratitude to Roger for his valuable contributions to our team and wish him the best in his future endeavors,” the notice read.
She said Mugisha’s responsibilities will be distributed among the team.
“Let’s continue to work together with focus and dedication to become the most influential media broadcaster in Uganda,” the statement noted.
Mugisha in a brief message said: “I would also like to take this opportunity to thank you all for making Sanyu FM happen. 28yrs in radio is a sailors dream.”
