Unknown gunmen today evening shot and killed Daniel Bbosa, a prominent Kampala businessman as he approached his home in Lungujja, Lubaga Division.

Bbosa was also the head of the ‘Ndiga’ clan and was commonly referred to as ‘Lwomwa’.

It is believed the late was from an official clan assignment when he met his fate.

Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga said the motive of Bbosa’s murder was still unknown.

“I have received news of the murder of the Ndiga clan head Lwomwa as he proceeded to his home….we don’t know yet the motive of the killers …”, Mayiga wrote on X.

Bbosa was a businessman who dealt in electronics under his company name of Bbosa Transa Electricals in Kiyembe.

He said one of them had been killed by vigilant members of the public who confronted the assailants as they tried to ride away from the scene. The other is said to be in critical condition.

“During the heinous act, a vigilant local resident bravely intervened, knocking down the assailants’ motorcycle and alerting the community. Swiftly, members of the community mobilised,” Owoyesigyire said in a statement.

He said they had recovered the firearm allegedly used in the murder incident, along with the motorcycle registration number UEX 754E, utilized by the assailants during the attack.
