When you visit Janan Secondary School in Bombo-Kalule, you might think that you have wandered into a five star hotel.
According to Mike Kironde, the director of the school, the facilities such as dormitories have standards of a five star hotel.
They have single contained rooms each with six beds and a reading table. This makes it a conducive learning environment for students.
“Parents spend a lot of money on their children that why we need to give them accountability for their money so that they do not regret when their children are at school,” Kironde told Bbeg Media.
The hostels at the school are powered by LED solar lights. This does not only help them deal with the problem of load shedding but it also ensures that they use a clean source of energy.
“Many schools have been affected by fires and it has created fear in some parents that is why we have decided to use solar instead of power in all hotels to make sure that our students are secure as their at their hostels,” Kironde said.
The school has also developed state of the art sports facilities. They include a swimming pool, a tennis court, a basketball court and many others.
“Our target in sports is now hosting international competitions since we have our own field compared to other schools and we know that sports is now a business. We shall make sure that every student and parent is served when it comes to sports and games,” he said.
Kironde urges parents to enroll their children at Janan Schools at Kabalagala where they have a secondary school and at their expansive campus at Bombo-Kalule where they have a nursery, primary and another secondary school.
