Full list of 100 Ugandan workers stranded in Saudi Arabia

More than 100 Ugandans are stranded in jails and detention centres in Saudi Arabia, Bbeg Media can reveal.

The majority of these were recruited by licensed companies in Uganda and once their contracts expired, they were expected to come back. However, many remained there until the law caught up with them.

A relative of one of them told Bbeg Media that many of them have not been offered consular support by Uganda’s embassy in Saudi Arabia.

Some are said to have fallen ill and require urgent medical treatment.

Abdallah Kayonde, the executive director of Migrant Workers Voice Network, urged the government to come to the rescue of these Ugandans.
