Teachers, parents and students of Janan Secondary School in Bombo-Kalule are in a jubilant mood after their students excelled in the 2023 UCE exams that were released today.
When we visited the school, we found Prince Kibirige a candidate who scored aggregate 20 in a jovial mood.
Kibirige said he wants to offer Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics (BCM) at A-level because he wants to do Medicine at University.
“I expected to score aggregate 8 but missed out. But nonetheless I will pursue a combination that leads me to Medicine,” Kibirige said.
Mike Kironde, the director of the school said the three pillars of their success: parents, teachers and students worked in concert to see students excel.
“Although there were issues to do with Covid-19, we surpassed them and we excelled,” said Kironde whom we found at the school.
The school scored 117 first grades and the rest were second grades.
