Agnes Nandutu rushed to hospital after collapsing at Parliament

Bududa Woman MP, Agnes Nandutu, was rushed to Nakasero Hospital yesterday afternoon after collapsing on the steps of Parliament.

Eyewitnesses told Bbeg Media that Nandutu, dressed in a yellow blouse and matching pants, appeared cheerful as she disembarked from her vehicle.

However, as she started climbing the steps approaching the security checkpoint, she fell.

James Kakooza, the EALA MP, and David Kabanda, the Kasambya MP, quickly came to her aid. With the support of security personnel at Parliament, she was put in a vehicle and rushed to Nakasero hospital.

By yesterday evening, she was said to be in a critical but stable condition.

In 2022, Nandutu was diagnosed with blood clots in the lungs, leading to her hospitalization.

A former journalist, Nandutu, was dropped from the cabinet last year following accusations that she diverted iron sheets meant for the Karamoja sub-region.
