Which lecturer did not want Khiddu Makubuya awarded a first-class degree in Law?

In 1974, Prof Khiddu Makubuya became the first Ugandan to be awarded a first-class degree in Law by Makerere University. However, before he could be awarded his first-class degree, the leadership of the Faculty of Law debated the matter.

Three of them, including Sam Kalega Njuba, a law lecturer then, said in their view Makubuya deserved the first-class degree. However, two objected. One was Prof Abraham Kiapi, who died in 1993.
