CINAT Technologies unveils GRIND enterprise system for growing businesses

CINAT Group has launched GRIND, an enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution designed to help businesses bring their key operations, people and information together on one digital platform.

The platform was launched on October 1, 2026, by Cinat Technologies, the Systems & Software subsidiary of CINAT Group.

In a statement, the company said GRIND is intended to help businesses simplify daily operations, connect different departments and give managers better access to information needed to make business decisions.

The launch comes at a time when many businesses are managing their operations through a combination of spreadsheets, paper records, manual processes and separate software systems.

CINAT said GRIND was designed to bring these functions into a more connected digital environment, allowing information from different areas of a business to be managed in one system.

The company said the aim is not simply to replace paper records or spreadsheets with software, but to help businesses organise their processes and improve the flow of information between departments.

“For example, linking financial information with operational records can give management a clearer picture of how the business is performing. Connecting procurement, inventory and sales information can also help businesses plan purchases, monitor stock and access information needed for day-to-day decisions,” the company said in a statement.

It said this approach is particularly important for growing businesses, whose operations can become more complicated as they gain more customers, employ more people, expand their product lines or enter new markets.

“GRIND is intended to provide businesses with a more structured digital system that can support these changing requirements,” it said adding that the platform is positioned within the wider shift towards digital business management, where companies are increasingly using technology to organise information, monitor performance and coordinate activities.

CINAT said the platform was also intended to support management reporting and performance monitoring.

It said business leaders need to have timely and accurate information when making decisions about sales, expenditure, staffing, stock levels and other areas of operations because when  information is scattered across different systems, managers may have to rely on reports prepared manually or wait for different departments to provide information.

“An integrated system can instead provide a more coordinated way of managing operational data, although the usefulness of such a system will depend on the quality of the information entered into it and how effectively businesses use it,” it noted.

CINAT said GRIND is part of a broader approach to digital transformation that goes beyond installing software.

The company noted that businesses need to understand their existing workflows, identify operational gaps and prepare employees to use new systems effectively.

CINAT Group, which is based in Kampala, operates across technology, advertising, logistics and trade, and property. The group says its different businesses are designed to operate independently while also working together where appropriate.

The launch of GRIND, CINAT said, adds an enterprise software product to the group’s technology offering as it seeks to develop digital systems for businesses.

“For businesses considering an ERP system, the main consideration will be how well the platform fits their existing processes, the cost of implementation, the level of training provided and how easily employees can adopt the system,” it said.

GRIND’s launch therefore represents an effort by CINAT Technologies to address a common challenge among growing enterprises: keeping business information and processes organised as operations become more complex.

The company said the broader objective is to help businesses create more connected operations in which information can move more easily between departments and management can have better visibility of day-to-day activities.
