Stanbic Bank has cautioned the public to be on the lookout for fraudsters who use social media platforms to advertise fake job adverts in the bank.
It follows social media posts alleging that the bank was in the process of recruiting various staff such as tellers, customer service assistants, retail sales representatives and others.
In a short statement, the bank said job openings are advertised on platforms of reputable news organisations and are also posted on their website https://www.standardbank.com/sbg/standard-bank-group/careers .
The fake job advert claimed the bank was recruiting close to 1500 people to fill vacancies in various branches.
