As Amama Mbabazi gained traction ahead of the 2016 elections, President Museveni in October 2015 invited some senior party leaders to State House Entebbe to lay strategies to foil Mbabazi’s bid. At State House, the leaders were shocked to find Museveni in the company of a female opposition politician. Kasule Lumumba, the then SG, feared that the female politician would leak NRM’s secrets.
