The TikToker Ibrahim Musana also known as Pressure 24/7 has today been granted bail by the Buganda Road Chief Magistrates Court. He had spent 60 days on remand.
Musana was arrested in Febraury after making unpalatable comments about Kabaka Mutebi and other prominent personalities. He was released on a cash bail of Shs 2 million.
Chief Magistrate Ronald Kayiizi told him not to post anything demeaning the Kabaka or anybody.
Prosecution alleges that between August 2023 and February 2024 in areas of Kampala District, while using a computer via his microblogging application Tik-Tok account identified as Pressure 24/7, Musana shared information which is likely to degrade or demean and promote hostility against four leaders including Kabaka Mutebi, President Museveni, Parliament Speaker Anita Among and State Minister for ICT Joyce Nabbosa Ssebugwawo.
