NRM pressure group vows to continue promoting President Museveni

Generation Seven, a pressure group attached to the NRM, has said they will promote and maintain the legacy of President Museveni amid hardships.

The group’s national coordinator, Stephen Mukasa said they are going to embark on sensitizing Ugandans especially the youths on the Musevenomics ideology.

He said the ideology includes many government programs like the Parish Development Model, Emyooga, NAADS, and others.

Mukasa accused the NRM Secretariat of not supporting the group financially. He said they have received reports that a lot of money is wasted in several activities which don’t build the party.

He promised to awaken the youths to support NRM and to engage in developmental programmes to fight poverty across the country.

“We are revamping our mobilization and sensitization strategies to inform the public more about the new government programmes. Our president is putting much effort in improving our social economic status but other leaders are not giving him a hand,” Mukasa said.

Robert Mutemu, the secretary for mobilization, applauded the role of the team during the 2021 general elections where they mobilized Ugandans to support NRM which enabled Museveni and many NRM MPs to win elections.

Mutemu looked perturbed after some mobilisers informed him that they have never received any funds from the party including the president himself yet they invested a lot of money during the 2021 general elections campaigns.

Since most of the mobilisers in the meeting where from Eastern Uganda, he said he will organize a meeting for them with Rebecca Kadaga, the second NRM vice-chairperson who hails from Busoga.
