Makerere: Students from Kings College Budo, Namagunga miss out on Pharmacy

For the first time in many years, Kings College Budo and Mount St Mary’s Namagunga did not have any of their students admitted on government for the Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy at Makerere University this year.

Last year, Budo and Namagunga has two students each on the prestigious course and in the last ten years the two schools have had at least a student on the course.

Not this year.

Uganda Martyr’s SS Namugongo had the most students admitted for Pharmacy (03) while St Mary’s SS Kitende, Mengo SSS and St Mark SS Namagoma had two students each.

Gombe SS, St Mary’s College Kisubi, Makerere College School, Gayaza High School, Namilyango College, Kitende SS, Plus Two SS, Our Lady of Africa SS, Kawempe Muslim SS, Citizens Secondary School and Gayaza Road Triangle SS all had one student.

Of the 19 students admitted for Pharmacy, 11 are male.
