Court in Kiboga has remanded Madina Nakyeyune and Hamimu Luyombya over the alleged murder case of 11-year-old Oliver Namanda. They have been remanded until July 5, 2024.
Namanda, a pupil at Fairway Nursery School, went missing on June 11, 2024. She was last seen vending boiled maize in Kiboga Town.
Her dismembered body was discovered the next day in Kirurumba Cell. Investigations led to the arrest of Nakyeyune, who owns a shrine in the area, and Luyombya
Cherished Children’s Foundation and Project Rescue Children said they will work tirelessly until all children in Uganda receive justice.
They extended their gratitude to RDC Kiboga, Mariam Nalubega, and the CPS Kiboga for their excellent work and thorough investigations.
Ezrah Ssebuliba, a director Chelished Children’s Foundation said together with Project Rescue Children, they are going to work closely with security team to see that the children get justice.
“We are going to ensure such heinous acts are met with the full force of the law, bringing emancipation to every child,” Ssebuliba said.
Nalubega said they are going to carry out operations they are not going to sit until this matter is resolved and the are going to mount operations to hunt down those so people which kill people in name of witch doctors
The Mayor of Kiboga town council, Henry Kagali thanked the security team for apprehending the suspects and pledged to work with them to ensure that the town is peaceful.
