Pamela Adongo, the former Chief Marketing Officer of Next Media is the new General Manager at Sanyu FM.
Sources said Adongo has been working in the role for about a month now. Management is yet to make an official announcement.
Adongo is a hardworking and results-driven person. Those who have worked under her will tell you that you must either deliver or disappear.
She is also innovative. During her time at Next Media, she spearheaded campaigns such as “Tuve ku Kaveera” and “Taasa Obutonde.”
She resigned from Next Media in 2022 to pursue private business.
Adongo replaces Chris Ireland, who stepped into the role after Betsy Mugamba was sacked in 2020 for allegedly leading a workers’ strike over pay.
Her immediate task will be to steer the station back to its former glory having lost its shine since the mass resignation of key staff in 2020.
