Robert Kyagulanyi, the president of the National Unity Platform has suspended his deputy Mathias Mpuuga for allegedly engaging in actions of corruption.
In a brief statement, Kyagulanyi said Mpuuga had failed to give any satisfactory explanation to the party leadership as to why he received Shs 500 million from Parliament as service award.
It marks the latest escalation of the feud between the two politicians, a conflict that has been brewing for the last one month.
Mpuuga had earlier this week told journalists that he will not resign from NUP and will stay and fight from within.
