KAMWENGE: Generation 7, a political pressure group allied to the NRM, has today unveiled its team in Kamwenge district at a colourful ceremony attended by big shots in the district. The main task of the team will be to render support to the government in the district especially in Kamwenge town council.
In his remarks, Stephen Mukasa, the national coordinator of Generation 7 advised youths to avoid being used by the self-seekers who cannot address their needs.
“Please embrace government programs and also learn to appreciate the little that government has done especially in education sector, healthcare, infrastructure among others. Uganda is full of opportunities,” Mukasa said.
The Kamwenge district chairman, Joseph Kalungi urged young people to always be the watchdogs in the fight against mismanagement of public resources. According to him, this will bolster development in Kamwenge and Uganda at large.
The team that was unveiled will be headed by Richard Mugisha.
Mugisha pledged to work with security and district anti-corruption agencies to fight graft in the district.
He promised to work with government to ensure the needs of young people fully benefits from all government programs such as Parish Development Model (PDM) and Emyooga.
Fred Enock Kaahwa, who was appointed as the team’s spokesperson, observed the need to educate young people in Kamwenge about the history of Uganda specifically the achievements of the NRM.
He encouraged young people to engage in income generating activities to transform their lives.
The team said it is ready to work and mobilize for President Museveni so that he registers massive victory in the 2026 elections.
