Centenary Bank has issued a statement respoding to a news report by Bbeg Media over the Shs 310 million that reportedly vanished from the account of their deceased employee, Resty Mutima.
In the statement, the bank said it is aware of the claims regarding funds that vanished from the estate account arguing that they were waiting for the legal process to determine the matter.

“The bank remains committed to the safety of customers’ funds,” the short statement read, giving no further elaboration.
We reported yesterday that the High Court had given the bank 14 days to file its defence in a lawsuit filed by Gabriel Musisi, the father of the late Mutima, a former employee of the bank.
Musisi accuses the bank of fraudulently taking over Shs 310 million from the account set up for her estate, an accusation the bank denies.
