NBS TV’s veteran video journalist, Moses Namayo, is currently holed up at Parliament, fearing to be arrested for shooting footage of the parliamentary gym where it was reported that a TV and sound system were stolen.
Sources say Namayo’s troubles follow a press conference by Lwemiyaga MP, Theodore Ssekikubo, who revealed to journalists that unknown people had recently broken into the heavily fortified parliamentary gym and made away with a TV and sound system.
In an effort to verify the story, we have been told Namayo went to the gym and started shooting footage but was apprehended by security. They told him to delete the footage and allegedly confiscated his ID. Namayo was briefly rescued by Ssekikubo who whisked him off to an unknown place within Parliament.
However, sources say that security has vowed to arrest Namayo as he tries to exit Parliament. Namayo is said to be living in fear.
