Bbeg Media marks one year, launches news website

A year after four experienced multi-media journalists started Bbeg Media, it is still standing firm and growing strong.

Bbeg Media was officially launched on February 13, 2023.

Edris Kiggundu, the CEO of the multi media group, said the first year had its challenges although overall, the firm registered more achievements.

“The biggest achievement for any young company is to stay alive. That we have achieved. But the most important thing is that we have grown. We had one platform now we have a vibrant news website and shall open other businesses soon,” Kiggundu said.

Bbeg Media started with a YouTube channel and launched a news website (bbegmedia.com) on February 6. The website has already distinguished itself in its coverage of education and media matters.

“The website is going to be a demonstration of good and bold journalism,” he said.

Kiggundu also thanked business partners like Janan Schools, Sefa Organic, Star Secondary School, Fab Events, Magala General Hardware for their support.

He urged other businesses and organizations to partner with the company.

Abubaker Tyaba, a director said the firm has learnt vital lessons in the first year.

“The past year has been a time of learning and appreciating the changes that come when one leaves a place they have worked in for a long time. There are so many lesson learnt that will guide the future of Bbeg Media,” Tyaba said.

Noah Kyeyune said persistence and consistency were key in Bbeg Media’s growth so far.

“If we maintain those two aspects, we shall soar higher,” Kyeyune said.

John Kibalizi, the director in charge of operations, compared Bbeg Media’s journey so far to a football game where one half has been played.

“There is still much to play for. Lets not lose focus. We need to keep our eyes on the ball,” he said.
