We have been told that most of the recruits will work at NTV and Spark TV.
Sources told us that some recruits are needed to beef up the stations ahead of the 2026 elections where heightened political activity will require many hands.
Over the past ten years, NTV has lost a number of seasoned professionals to other media players or media related sectors. Two months ago, Williams Kato, arguably their most influential editor and producer retired.
Other prominent journalists who have left NTV over the years are: Faridah Nakazibwe, Frank Walusimbi, Francis Jjingo, Ali Mivule, Julius Ssekandwa, Maurice Ochol, Josephine Karungi, Maurice Mugisha, Rukshana Namuyimba, Solomon Serwanjja, and Andrew Kyamagero.
This massive exodus has affected the quality and popularity of some of its programming and management believes that now is the right time to shake up things.
Deadline for application is Friday, December 20.
