Janan Schools excelled in last year’s Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) exams leaving teachers, parents and students in a jubilant mood.
One of their star performers whom he spoke to, Meddie Mulimira scored 20 points in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB). The excited Mulimira told Bbeg Media that he hopes to do Medicine at university.
“It has been God’s grace that I have scored 20. I hope to do Medicine and Surgery at university since this has been my dream all along,” he said. Other students were seen jubilating, praising the teachers for the preparing them well.
The director of the schools Mike Kironde attributed their success to teachers and hard work.
“We shall now put more emphasis on science subjects because we now know it is very possible for our students to excel at them,” a happy Kironde said. The schools have been in existence for more than 20 years and Kironde said they hope to take more than 20 students to university on government sponsorship.
